In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of SCAD Lacoste, France, a three-week study abroad projection mapping course was offered for the first time. In collaboration with 13 other SCAD students, I had the opportunity to create an immersive light projection & digital mapping experience that was showcased to the community throughout the summer of 2022.
We were to explore the community and use the landscape, surroundings, and campus history to create our projects. I created six projection exhibits and learned valuable information since this was my first time doing projection mapping.
I created the purple mandala after being inspired by a light fixture at a local French market. The black and white piece includes photographs and letters from past artists who lived at Lacoste, along with an illustrative map of SCAD Lacoste buildings, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary.
